Which tier should your brand pick?
Rule of thumb based on monthly creator budget:
- Under ₹50K/month: 5–10 nano + 1–2 micro creators in an ambassador program
- ₹50K-2L/month: 15–25 micro creators, focus on niche-fit
- ₹2-10L/month: 3–5 mid + 10 micro mix, with paid amplification
- ₹10L+/month: 1 macro/mega + 5 mid + 20 micro for full-funnel coverage
The micro myth
"Focus on micro" has become the default brand advice in India. The data backs it for unit economics (best engagement-per-rupee) BUT micro is also the dirtiest tier — 31.4% have above-threshold fake followers (see our 43K audit). Don't skip authenticity verification just because they're "the right tier."
